Weight Systems

Weight Systems

You know when you get in a swimming pool and you float, well most people float, and that is the problem, as diver you need to get under the water and stay there without wasting valuable air. It’s all down to getting your buoyancy correct.

Some of the standard weight systems include lead weights in various sizes, moulded into a belt where you can add the weights to your belt, or there is a quick release system that lets you drop your belt in a flash that lets you float, for those emergencies

Weight belts are the most popular integrated into your BCD, which usually entails  two weights in pockets on either side of the jacket and trim weights which are lead shot filled tubes  that attach to your ankles.
